Die Pandemie, verursacht durch das Corona-Virus, hat die Welt fest im Griff. Restaurants, Weinstuben, Gästehäuser, Hotels, Pensionen und Anbieter von Ferienwohnungen, für alle ist die aktuelle Situation eine wahre Katastrophe in doppelten Sinne, weil um die Gesundheit der eigenen Familie und der Mitarbeiter gefürchtet wird und um die Existenz des Betriebes als auch die Existenz der MitarbeiterInnen - von den Folgeauswirkungen auf die Weltwirtschaft ganz zu schweigen. Auch wir bleiben davon nicht verschont.
Das Erwachen der Natur und damit die Mandelblüten entlang der Weinstraße werden in diesem Jahr weitestgehend auf ihre vielen Bewunderer verzichten müssen. Wegen der aktuellen Situation fühlt es sich für uns unpassend an, die Schönheit der Weinstraße, die Gastfreundschaft, feinste Weine und die wunderbare Küche der Region zu loben. Im Vordergrund steht momentan, dass wir alle freiwillig auf die zwischenmenschliche, physische Nähe verzichten sollten, damit wir spätestens im kommenden Jahr wieder in vollen Zügen das genießen können, was die Weinstraße ausmacht - Schönheit und Genuss.
Wenn wir das, was wir alle gerade aushalten müssen, gemeinsam durchziehen, uns an die Vorgaben - Abstand und Rücksichtnahme - halten, dann werden wir es schaffen.
In der Zwischenzeit werden wir den aus unserer Sicht einen oder anderen interessanten Beitrag zum akuten Thema posten und auch Amüsantes soll nicht zu kurz kommen ...
Uns liegt an dieser Stelle noch etwas sehr am Herzen:
Wir danken ganz besonders all jenen unter Ihnen - MedizinerInnen, Pflegepersonen, PolizisteInnen, Feuerwehrleuten und sonstigen MitarbeiterInnen und HelferInnen - für Ihre immense Anstrengung, Unterstützung und Hilfe, die jeden Tag mehr und mehr von Nöten ist, um das Virus zu bekämpfen, Kranke und Hilfsbedürftige zu versorgen oder unsere Lieferketten zu bedienen. Ohne Euch würden wir es nicht schaffen!
Für uns steht die Gesundheit unserer Gäste im Vordergrund. Die Empfehlung der Virologen und der Bundesregierung gilt für uns alle:
Zuhause bleiben, körperliche Distanz einhalten und damit das Gesundheitssystem entlasten!
Um weder direkt oder indirekt und unwissentlich einen Beitrag zur Ansteckung oder Weiterverbreitung des Virus zu leisten, bleibt unser Gästehaus für den gesamten Zeitraum März bis Ende April 2020 geschlossen. Anreisen werden in diesem Zeitraum nicht akzeptiert.
Die Schließung wird nötigenfalls auf den Monat Mai 2020 ausgeweitet, sofern dies seitens der Regierung in naher Zukunft empfohlen werden sollte.
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn es Ihnen möglich wäre, die von der Schließung betroffenen Übernachtungen um einige Zeit zu verschieben.
Wir wünschen Ihnen allen Kraft und Durchhaltevermögen. Bleiben Sie, Ihre Familien und Freunde alle gesund!

The coronavirus pandemic now has the world firmly in its grip. For restaurants, bars, hotels, B&Bs and holiday homes, the current situation is a double catastrophe. Fears for the health of one's own family and one’s employees, combine with fears for the very existence of the business and its employees - not to mention the consequences for the global economy. We too are severely affected by this.
The reawakening of nature, and with it the almond blossoms along the Wine Route, will have to manage without its many admirers this year. Because of the current situation, it feels inappropriate for us to praise the beauty of the Wine Route, the hospitality, the fine wines and the wonderful cuisine of the region. The main focus at the moment is that we must all voluntarily renounce interpersonal, physical closeness, so that by next year at the latest we can once again enjoy to the full, what the Wine Route is all about - beauty and enjoyment.
If we pull together and get through what we all have to endure at the moment, if we stick to the guidelines about distance and consideration, then we will surely succeed.
In the meantime, we will post one or two contributions, which from our point of view are interesting about the current situation, but also a few amusing things...
At this moment though, we are constantly thinking about one thing:
We would like to thank those out there who are doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters and other staff and helpers, for your immense effort, support and help, which is called upon day after day to fight the virus, care for the sick and needy and serve our vital supply chains. Without you we wouldn't be able to manage!
For us, the health of our guests is of paramount importance. The recommendations of the virologists and the German government apply to all of us:
Stay at home, keep your physical distance and thus relieve the burden on the health system!
In order not to contribute directly or unknowingly to the infection or further spread of the virus, our B&B will remain totally closed for the entire period from March to the end of April 2020. Arrivals during this period cannot be accepted.
The closure will be extended, if necessary, to May 2020, should the government recommend this in the near future.
We would be very happy if you could postpone for a while any overnight stays that fall within our closure period.
We wish you all strength and stamina. You, your families and your friends, please all stay healthy!
